The Washington Wolverines Hockey Club is the only birthyear-based AAA program in the state that is part of the High Performance Hockey Alliance (HPL) league.  HPL teams are based throughout southern British Columbia, Vancouver Island and now Washington state.

HPL Hockey has a collection of the top coaches, developers and leaders in the hockey industry. These leaders have created a unique program that challenges players to reach their potential on and off the ice. Our goal is to provide children with the best hockey experience possible everyday in a challenging and safe environment. We are focused on each child’s athletic growth, and we want to develop them into great people, not just great hockey players.

HPL Hockey is providing players at the high-performance level a greater opportunity to achieve their goals. Every player is surrounded by motivated hockey players, positive coaches and are placed in a program designed to get results.

Specializing in the younger age groups gives HPL the opportunity to strengthen a player’s hockey fundamental skill sets. Creating an atmosphere where all players are at an equal level, allows the players to naturally be challenged to perform at their highest level without any concern of developing players being unable to share time with the puck. HPL players are provided with a unique environment that has proven to bring the best out of them. Smaller team sizes mean that each player receives more individual attention during all ice sessions. The HPL program has proven to be developing players in a positive manner as we are seeing these results in the spring at the highest level of competition. We look forward to having the same results in the winter where we can help represent the Province of BC with pride and showcase the results of the development stream.

The seasonal development schedule offered by HPL allows for every family to have more time as a family. With no hockey over long weekends, a longer Christmas holiday break, and a consistent game/development ice schedule, families can have a happier and less stressful hockey season. We have been told by many of our current HPL families that the consistency of our program scheduling has been a welcome and appreciated benefit beyond the on-ice hockey development.

We encourage our players to take advantage of the additional free time from a set schedule to play other sports, pursue other hobbies and interests and enjoy more time spent with their families.
